On Monday, a Finance Ministry letter dated Nov. 2 and signed by Finance Minister Cassiel Ato Forson approved 10 months of salary and allowance arrears in two instalments: January to May 2026 in November, and June to October 2026 in December, MyJoyOnline reported; the Ghana News Agency confirmed the two-tranche plan. The ministry said the new conditions of service were approved by the President under Article 149 and took effect Jan. 1, 2026. The Labour Ministry is due to meet the union on Nov. 3, and the NLC set a report-back for Nov. 6.
