L4Deeper impact
Lwara said he photographed the MDF Dornier wreckage between 8:10 and 8:30 a.m. on June 11, 2024, but members cited earlier findings that the site was found between 10:30 and 11 a.m. He said the photos disappeared after security officers took his phone at around 10:20 a.m., named a National Intelligence Service officer, "Mr Chiguya," as seeking them, and said retired MDF commander Gen. Vincent Nundwe told him the aircraft had no black box. Nation Online notes none of these accounts were independently corroborated in the proceedings.
L5Full context
Germany's Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation (BFU) attributed the crash to adverse weather and human error, and an inquiry appointed by then-President Lazarus Chakwera ruled out foul play and recommended examining safety protocols (Nation Online).
