Provisional: Non-AP outlets checked by Google News/Bing News titles (one CBS candidate opened). AP counted per AP-primary method: AP copy on WTOP, Las Vegas Sun and Yahoo News opened and dated Nov 6; AP’s own page blocked (403), so its own-site date is unverified. Unopened candidates not counted. ABC News returned no candidates.

The Associated Press called the U.S. House race in California’s 14th Congressional District for Democrat Aisha Wahab on Friday, Nov. 6, according to AP copy carried by WTOP, the Las Vegas Sun and Yahoo News. WTOP’s text reads: “Democrat Aisha Wahab wins reelection to U.S. House in California’s 14th Congressional District.”

Wahab already holds the seat: she won an August special election to serve the rest of former Rep. Eric Swalwell’s term after he resigned in April, KQED and CBS San Francisco report. Her opponent for the full two-year term was BART Board Director Melissa Hernandez, also a Democrat.

These reports carry the same Associated Press race call and are treated as one reporting origin; Overlooked could not open AP’s own article page this run. Results are unofficial.
